Achronix completes first close of oversubscribed $45 million series c mezzanine financing

Achronix Semiconductor Corporation, provider of the world's fastest field-programmable gate arrays(FPGAs), today announced the first closing of a $45M Series C mezzanine financing. Over $40M has been committed to date. Due to significant interest from a number of stragetic investors, the additional $5M will be closed in the next 60 days. The proceeds of the financing will be used to accelerate investments in Speedster22i FPGAs and future products. Based on Intel's 22nm process technology, Achronix's Speedster22i devices shatter the limitations of current FPGAs by offering cost-effective production of high performance, high density, IP-rich FPGAs.

The mezzanine financing was led by a syndicate of financial and strategic investors and all of Achronix's existing investors particpated in the financing. The Achronix Series C financing is one of the largest for a venture-backed semiconductor company in recent history and occurs on the heels of the agreement with the Intel to build Speedster22i FPGAs.

GSI Technology Announces Immediate Availability of 72Mbit ECCRAMsTM for High Data Integrity Applications SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 17, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE)

GSI Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:GSIT) today announced immediate availability of the industry's first family of commercial, ultra-low error rate SRAMs--GSI's ECCRAMsTM. The new 72Mbit devices transparently encode and store error correction codes with every write and then read, decode and, if necessary, correct bit errors using a fast ECC algorithm. With no speed penalty, the device automatically corrects bit flips due to radiation particle strikes. Accelerated testing in high-energy particle beam tests shows that the SRAMs can be expected to demonstrate a vanishingly small Soft Error Rate (SER) of less than 0.002 FITs/Mb--a 5-order-of-magnitude improvement over comparable technologies with no on-chip ECC.

ECCRAMs are members of GSI's 2nd and 3rd generation SigmaQuad(TM) and SigmaDDR(TM) SRAM families. They are available in a variety of packages and performance points, and are qualified for immediate volume production.

"Shrinking process feature sizes continues to make dealing with both Alpha and Neutron particle strikes more and more challenging," said David Chapman, VP of Marketing and Applications Engineering at GSI Technology. "GSI has been leading the industry in addressing this problem with both process improvements and architectural adaptions for several years now; however, this new attack on the problem finally puts it to rest. Airborne applications are no longer an issue."

GSI Technology Announces Sampling of 2nd Generation 36Mbit SyncBurst(TM) and NBT(TM) SRAM Families SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb 22, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE)

GSI Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:GSIT) today announced the 2nd generation 36Mbit SyncBurst(TM) and NBT(TM) SRAM product line for immediate customer evaluation.

GSI's GS832xA family includes pipelined, flow through, and NBT(TM) Fast SRAMs with speeds up to 400 MHz in TQFP and BGA packages. Both commercial and industrial temperature ranges are offered as standard products.

"This combination of capacity and performance has been a sweet spot for a broad cross-section of our global customer base," said David Chapman, VP of Marketing and Applications Engineering at GSI Technology. "The shrink to 65nm CMOS gives us vast improvements in speed and power. It's going to be a big winner for a long time."

Availability

GSI Technology's 36Mbit SyncBurst(TM) and NBT(TM) products are ready for customer sampling now. Pricing ranges from $40.00 to $60.00 in 1,000 piece quantities, depending on speed and configuration. GSI Technology Announces Military Temperature SRAM Catalog SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb 08, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --

GSI Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIT) today announced the introduction of a broad family of military temperature range SRAM products for immediate customer evaluation.

GSI's "M" temperature range product catalog includes SyncBurst(TM), NBT(TM), SigmaQuad(TM) and SigmaDDR(TM) Double Data Rate Fast SRAMs with sizes from 9Mbit to 144Mbit. All GSI military temperature range products provide fully compliant IEEE 1149.1 JTAG for in-system debugging. In addition, several new GSI SRAMs offer on-chip error detection and correction (ECC) for applications requiring very high data integrity.

"The fact that GSI has had a robust military temperature product offering for many years has been an open secret among leading military and aerospace manufacturers. But now the secret is out," said David Chapman, VP of Marketing and Applications Engineering at GSI Technology. "Today we are making a transition from offering products on request to actively offering a full-line catalog comprised of our fastest and most advanced products. GSI already has the broadest line of Fast SRAMs on the commercial market. Today GSI is staking out the same claim in the Military and Aerospace market with this announcement and with a feature presentation at CMSE in Los Angeles." (http://www.cti-us.com/cmsemain.htm)
